Our site in Teesside is an integrated production and storage facility that primarily manufactures ammonia, nitric acid and ammonium nitrate. Ammonia was first produced here in the 1920s using the classic Haber Bosch Process. Since we took over the site in 1998, we’ve invested millions of pounds to create production facilities to rival any ammonia plant in the world.
Today we’re at the heart of the Teesside Chemical Industry, supplying ammonia and nitric acid to neighbouring companies. Our people are constantly looking to improve performance. And thanks to their innovation and our investment, our ammonia, nitric acid and ammonium nitrate plants have all set new production records.
Situated close to Middlesbrough and Newcastle, we’re at the heart of the North East’s road and rail networks. We even have our own wharf on the River Tees to export our fertilisers to the world.
